On December 3, 2019, MDI received the 2019 Cloud Partner of the Year in Asia Pacific Award from the global market insight company Canalys. The award recognizes MDI’s strong, innovative, and successful cloud practice in a constantly evolving field.
Since 2016, MDI has been exploring various areas of cloud, considering their traditional infrastructure business. They began by offering a diversified range of managed products and services that provide their customers with resilient, reliable, and elastic infrastructure to power their journey into digital transformation.
Recently, some of MDI’s more notable achievements are building and continuing to operate one of the Philippines’ largest private cloud environments; and diversifying into other aspects of cloud, such as cloud management and operations, containerization, AIOps, network cloud (with SDWAN), and application/workplace clouds (with AV and VDI). Through their innovations, they have established an internal cloud provider organization, which has over 100 certified public and private cloud technology engineers.
The Cloud Partner of the Year in Asia Pacific Award was accepted by Dr. William Emmanuel Yu, MDI’s high energy Chief Technology Officer, in Taipei, Taiwan. The Candefero is the global IT Channel community that acknowledges channel partners who have demonstrated superior performance in cloud. The winners were selected by a panel of Canalys Channels Analysts from nominations coming from a wider community.
MDI has also been recognized by its other partners. In 2018, VMware and DellEMC awarded MDI Cloud Partner of the Year.
