Responsibilities
- Will assist in the management, maintenance and installation of VMware infrastructures
- Candidate will assist in providing operational engineering support to enterprise-level solutions using virtual server hosting, backup solutions, off-site data replication and service level storage solutions
- Support the implementation of VMware hardware and operating systems solutions to provide hosting services to multiple overseas Posts.
- Provision Virtual Machines and patches to the software and hardware hosting infrastructure.
- Maintain, mananage and provide troubleshooting procedures to various VMware Issues and escalations
- Participate in on- call after-hours support rotation, responding to support calls after- hours/weekends/holidays/shutdowns.
- Complete Service Request tickets for VMWare technical issues
- Other Adhoc Systems Admin Task
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- 2+ years doing virtualization/virtual system administration.
- VMware Certified Preffered but not a requirement
- Proven background and solid Knowledge on various VMware management tools (vCenter, vRealize Operations, VMware Configuration Manager)
- Working knowledge in building scalable, highly available, mission critical virtual infrastructures
- Experience or working knowledge of Disaster Recovery technologies helpful.
- Experience or working knowledge of Backup technologies helpful
- Knowledge of and experience doing a one-to-many configuration/deployment of SRM.
- Applicants must be willing to work in BGC,Taguig.
- Preferably someone who can start ASAP but not a requirement
